Structure

The Army is typically organized into Brigades and Battalions, operating across the five regions of Sierra Leone.

Training & Recruitment

Army recruits undergo rigorous basic training focusing on physical fitness, weapons handling, tactics, and discipline. Specialized training is provided for specific roles (e.g., Engineers, Artillery).

Joining the Army

Prospective soldiers must meet the general recruitment requirements (age, education, fitness) and the specific standards for the Army category (General Recruit, Tradesman).
