The Republic of Sierra Leone Navy
The Navy is the maritime warfare branch of the RSLAF, responsible for protecting Sierra Leone's waters, coasts, and rivers.
Mission & Role
- Protect Sierra Leone's territorial waters and Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
- Conduct coastal patrols and surveillance.
- Prevent smuggling, illegal fishing, and other maritime crimes.
- Support riverine operations and provide waterway security.
- Assist in national development projects involving waterways.

Structure
The Navy operates from naval bases along the coast and major rivers, coordinating with other RSLAF units and maritime agencies.

Navy personnel train in seamanship, navigation, weapons systems, engineering, and maritime law. Focus is on operating vessels and securing waterways.
